Raece Flynt opened the scoring for the Indians with an 11-yard touchdown scamper with 8:14 on the first-quarter clock. Grant Talbert added the extra point to make it 7-0.
After a scoreless second quarter, the Trojans closed it to 7-6 on a two-yard pass from Collin Bradford to Jordan Gray, but missed the PAT.
Flynt tallied another TD for East as the fourth quarter began and Talbert again added the PAT to increase the Indians’ lead to 14-6.
East quarterback Sam Chaney gave the Indians a little breathing room with just 1:54 remaining in the game when he hit Vincent Stewart with a 27-yard touchdown pass. Talbert again kicked the PAT for the final 21-6 score.

Elkmont 38, Colbert Heights 30
Dylan Brazael filled the air with passes — four of them for touchdowns — Friday night as Elkmont defeated Colbert Heights 38-30.
The Red Devils, currently ranked No. 9 in the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 3A poll, took charge early and held a 35-0 lead at the half. But the Wildcats staged a furious fourth-quarter rally to close the gap to only five points, 35-30, before David Solomon added a late field goal for insurance and the final 38-30 score.
Brazael opened the scoring for Elkmont with a 45-yard toss to Solomon at the 7:28 mark of the first quarter, with Solomon adding the extra point for a 7-0 Red Devil lead.
Four minutes later, with the Wildcats threatening to even the score, Lee Patterson returned an interception 90 yards for a touchdown and the momentum shifted back to the Elkmont side.
Patterson hauled in a 44-yard toss from Brazael with nine minutes remaining in the half and Solomon again added the PAT.
It only took a couple of minutes for Brazael to notch another TD, this time with an 82-yard completion too Solomon. The PAT again was good.
Brazael found Solomon for the fifth Red Devil TD of the half on a two-ard toss with only 40 seconds on the clock. The PAT made it 35-0 at the half.
