Athens boys, East girls complete sweep of rivals

It wasn’t just a clean sweep in the boys game as the East girls beat their rivals for the second time this season.

East held on for a 72-64 win, thanks to some clutch free-throw shooting from Bailey Speer and Rachel Diamond. Speer scored 12 points and was a perfect 6 for 6 from the line while Diamond poured in 20 points and was 6 for 8 in the final period. 



Brennan Crabtree led the Lady Indians with a game-high 27 points, including four three-point baskets. Destiny Bailey led Athens with 25 points, all in the second half.
