Rejuvenated Arkansas looks to upset No. 18 Florida

MIAMI — Here are five things to watch in the Southeastern Conference during Week 6 of games:

GAME OF THE WEEK: Arkansas at No. 18 Florida. The rejuvenated Razorbacks put a scare into Texas A&M before eventually falling 45-33 last weekend. Arkansas coach Bret Bielema has made a commitment to running the ball and his team does it very well, ranking second in the SEC averaging 237 yards on the ground per game. Now the Razorbacks must face a Florida defense that's the best in the SEC at stopping the run, giving up just 53.5 yards per game.

BEST MATCHUP: Auburn's Gus Malzahn vs. Mississippi's Hugh Freeze. The two are friends from their high school coaching days and have both experienced a storybook rise to head positions in the Southeastern Conference. There is certainly potential for lots of offensive plays and lots of points when the teams meet on Saturday at Auburn. Both coaches are disciples of the quick-tempo, offensive-minded approach that's become very trendy in the college game.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Florida has scored six touchdowns and two field goals in nine trips to the red zone since Tyler Murphy replaced the injured Jeff Driskel as the Gators' quarterback. The Gators had four touchdowns and two field goals in 12 trips to the red zone before Murphy took over. ... Vanderbilt's 52-24 victory over UAB last week marked the first time in program history that the Commodores had a 300-yard passer, a 100-yard rusher and two 100-yard receivers in the same game. Austyn Carta-Samuels threw for 334 yards, Jerron Seymour rushed for 107 yards, Jordan Matthews had 115 yards receiving and Jonathan Krause had 108 yards receiving. Vanderbilt hopes there will be more where that came from when they host undefeated Missouri on Saturday.

LONG SHOTS: No. 6 Georgia and No. 10 LSU must try to avoid letdowns this week after the Bulldogs' 44-41 victory in their shootout last Saturday. Although Georgia is favored by 10 ½ points at Tennessee and LSU by 9 ½-point at Mississippi State, both are playing road-games against teams needing wins.
