BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A Sylacauga man has been indicted on a federal bank robbery charge.
Alice Martin, the U-S Attorney for Alabama’s Northern District, said Wednesday Griffin Allen Thompson was charged with the Feb. 26, 2009 holdup at a Wachovia Bank in Sylacauga.
In a separate case, three Tennessee men have been indicted for the Dec. 2008 armed robbery of a Birmingham area pharmacy.
Tavis Ray Smith of Nashville, Shane Richard Moore and Phillip Andrew Hampton, both of Ashland, Tenn., are accused of entering Tyner’s Pharmacy and stealing a large quantity of Oxycontin at gunpoint.
No trial dates were announced.
