PIEDMONT, Ala. (AP) — A defense attorney says the trial of a Piedmont woman charged with killing her mother in 2007 is at least six months away.
Lindsey Danielle Morgan is charged with stabbing her 45-year-old mother, Brenda Ingram, to death on Dec. 11, 2007.
Tim Burgess, one of Morgan’s two defense attorneys, expects the trial for the 18-year-old to start in December.
Piedmont police Chief Steven Tidwell said Morgan was freed on $50,000 bond in 2008 until someone made a harassing call in her name. Piedmont police Chief Steven Tidwell said Monday.
Tidwell said she returned to jail until an investigation showed she did not make the call and she was released again on bond.
Part of Morgan’s bond condition includes wearing a GPS tracking unit.
