MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say a Montgomery man apparently was growing more than tomatoes in his garden.
Sheriff’s deputies said a tip led them to investigate 41-year-old Tony Crawley. He was booked on multiple drug offenses Tuesday afternoon after a state trooper helicopter spotted marijuana plants in his yard.
Deputies said around 50 pot plants were pulled from the yard.
Crawley was placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
