Florence woman sentenced in teen's fatal stabbing

FLORENCE —

The Florence woman accused of fatally stabbing a 14-year-old girl in the chest during a house party has been sentenced to more than 10 years in prison.

Autumn Wood, 19, was sentenced Thursday to 126 months in prison in the death of Brooklyn Hollins. Authorities have said Hollins was stabbed during an argument in March 2012.

Wood pleaded guilty to manslaughter in November after unsuccessfully trying to plead not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect in October 2012.
