Authorities say the case of a deadly shooting at an Iron Bowl party near Birmingham will be presented to the district attorney's office today.
Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis says the district attorney's office will determine whether charges will be filed.
Shelby County Coroner Diana New identified the woman killed around 7 p.m. Saturday as 36-year-old Michelle Shepherd of Birmingham. WBRC-TV reported that she was a mother of three children.
Derzis says Shepherd and another woman, both Alabama fans, got into an argument shortly after the game ended. It turned physical and spilled into the parking lot. He said both women ended up on the ground and one pulled a gun.
Derzis says the women didn't know each other and police hadn't confirmed what started the fight.
