DECATUR — A jury has convicted a man of capital murder in the killing of two people at Krystal restaurant in Decatur.
Jurors convicted 23-year-old Jordaan Creque during today's second day of deliberations.
The panel now must decide whether to recommend a sentence of death or life without parole. The final decision is up to a judge.
Creque was charged in the killings of 49-year-old Jeffrey Mark Graff and 23-year-old Jessie Jose Aguilar at a Krystal restaurant. The two employees were shot to death during a holdup on Aug. 24, 2011.
Creque told police he was forced to participate in a robbery and watched as the two were shot to death.
Creque had worked at the restaurant. Two more men await trial in the killings.
