3 Ala. cities set for 'Justice for Trayvon' day

DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) — Mobile, Montgomery and Birmingham are among the 100 cities where rallies are planned Saturday as part of a national "Justice for Trayvon" day.

The Rev. Al Sharpton says events at federal courthouses nationwide are meant to show that concerns about the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin are not going to go away.

The founder of The Ordinary People Society in Dothan, Kenneth Glasgow, says his group is working with Sharpton's organization and others on a march at noon Saturday in Montgomery from the federal courthouse to the Capitol.

He says a rally will also be held at noon at the federal courthouse in Mobile. A rally for Birmingham is still in the planning stages.

The rallies are seeking action by the U.S. Justice Department.
