— SEALE, Ala. (AP) — Authorities identified the bodies of three people killed in a car crash in eastern Alabama as teenagers ranging in age from 13 to 16.
WTVM-TV reports (http://bit.ly/103oprz) that victims of the Sunday accident in the Seale area of Russell County were identified as 13-year-old Chelsea Alexander; 15-year-old Darius DaRel Washington; and 16-year-old Kateria Robinson.
Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. said all three were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash around 5:25 p.m. Sunday.
Alabama state police say four other passengers were injured when their vehicle plunged off an overpass on U.S. Highway 431 shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday. Police are still investigating what caused the driver to lose control, but they say no other vehicles played a role.
Seale is about 15 miles southwest of Columbus, Ga.
