ONEONTA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley will continue his "Road to Economic Recovery" tour with visits to Blountsville and Oneonta in Blount County.
The governor will begin the tour at noon today at Charlie B's Restaurant in Oneonta. Bentley will then speak at about 1:45 p.m. with hundreds of teachers and school administrators from across Blount County during a professional development seminar at J.B. Pennington High School in Blountsville. Bentley is expected to discuss workforce development and other education issues.
The governor will meet at 3 p.m. with members of The Oneonta Business Association at Miller Soda Shop in Oneonta and will tour the Blount County Courthouse at 4:15 p.m.
The purpose of the Road to Economic Recovery Tour is to discuss state and local economic conditions with officials and residents.
