Man shot after confronting suspect during robbery



TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say a man was shot after confronting a burglary suspect at a Tuscaloosa business.

Tuscaloosa County sheriff's officials tell WBRC-TV that the suspect was carrying a cash register out of the business when he was confronted by the victim on Monday.

They say the masked suspect opened fire, and the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

The Tuscaloosa News reports that the shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday at a Dollar General store on Crescent Ridge Road.

WBRC reports that the man who was shot was in stable condition at DCH Regional Medical Center.
