Gov. Bentley to attend higher education rally

— MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley is scheduled to speak to students and educators during a Higher Education Day rally at the state Capitol.

Bentley and others are expected to gather at the Capitol Thursday at 11 a.m. Officials say the really is organized by the Higher Education Partnership, which is an advocacy group for supporters of public universities.

Officials from Bentley's office say lawmakers, student leaders and faculty are also expected to speak during the event.
