— GARDENDALE, Ala. (AP) — Jefferson County sheriff's officials say a Gardendale High School student is likely to be charged with making terroristic threats.
Sheriff's officials Wednesday said in a statement they're investigating reports that a 15-year-old boy had a list of people at the school he was planning on shooting. Sheriff's spokesman Randy Christian says the unidentified boy told some students they were on his list.
Sheriff's officials confiscated the teen's computer to look for any threats or lists involved with the case, and say the teen had no access to firearms. Authorities say no such list had been located.
Sheriff's officials say the teen was removed from school and has been admitted to a hospital for a mental evaluation. Christian says the teen told police he was joking.
