Brooke Emma Frankel of Athens and Jonathan Brooks Norton of Athens were married in a 6:30 p.m. ceremony Aug. 22, 2009, at The Westin Huntsville with the Honorable Mike Davis officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Sam Frankel of Athens, and Trudi Best of Houston, Texas. Her grandparents are Vivian Smith of Carlsbad, N.M., the late James Smith, and the late Harry and Virginia Frankel.

The groom is the son of Wade and Kathy Norton of Athens. His grandparents are Annette Pepper of Ardmore, the late C.L. Pepper, and the late Addison and Vera Mae Norton.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Maid of honor was Jenea Poff. Bridal attendants were Kate Anderson, Tia Bryant, Lauren Grisham, and Stephanie Rose. The flower girl was Savannah Preston.

Ben Preston served as best man. Groomsmen were Keith Frankel, Justin Norton, Luke Schrimsher, and Brandon Simmons. The ringbearer was Riley Anderson.

The guest register was kept by Erin Fry.

A reception followed the ceremony at The Westin Huntsville.

After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple returned home to Athens.
