VIDEO: Jubilee Day draws about 100 to St. Luke M.B. Church

Upcoming MLK Day march is Jan. 18 from downtown Athens to Event Center

— The Limestone County NAACP held its annual Jubilee Day on Wednesday at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Athens. The organization presented achievement awards to Little Elk M.B. Church Pastor Eugene English, chapter President Wilbert Woodruff, Georgia Nichols and Walter Booker.

The upcoming Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day march will begin at the courthouse square on January 18. Lineup is at 9:30 a.m., with the march beginning at 10 a.m. and followed by a program at the Limestone County Event Center.
