Courthouse cedar comes down

The News Courier

— Randy Norman, with spikes attached to his feet, spent Saturday attached to a harness for Dixieland Tree Service, shaving limbs from the top of a dilapidated cedar tree at the Limestone County Courthouse.

Some area residents stopped by to pick up pieces of the cedar to take home as souvenirs.

Another tree scheduled for cutting by Dixieland will come down at a later date.
