Yarn spinnin' time

If you want to learn more about your parents, your children or yourself, the seventh annual Athens Storytelling Festival could be a must see event next week on the Limestone County Courthouse Square in Athens.

The festival kicks off Oct. 22 with a local storytellers competition, then Kids Days Oct. 23-24. The regular storytelling schedule continues Oct. 24-26 for all.

Visitors to The Square will find open restaurants and shops for food, antiques, gifts, clothing, hardware and more.  There will also be food vendors present specifically for the festival.

For more information, go online to or call Wayne Kuykendall at 256-777-4524.
