• Fish Fry. The Grove Baptist Church on County Line Road will host a fish fry from noon-1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 2. Plates are $7 each and include catfish, fries, cole slaw and hush puppies.

• Musical. The Wesley and Cherub choirs of First United Methodist Church will present “Moses and the Freedom Fanatics” at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 2.

• Homecoming. Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church will celebrate its 141st Homecoming and Church Anniversary on Sunday, May 2 at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. services. The Rev. Nathl Moore, pastor of First African Baptist Church in Lexington, Ky., will be guest speaker. Lunch will be served. The public is invited.

• Lessons. Holland’s Gin Church of Christ will hold a series of lessons May 2-5, with speakers including: Sunday, 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., Rusty Brand; Monday, 7 p.m., Jeff Smith; Tuesday, 7 p.m. Bob Watson; Wednesday, 7 p.m., Kevin Harbin.

• Revival. New Life Church on Hine Street will hold its spring revival at 7 p.m. nightly Monday, May 3 through Wednesday, May 5 with guest pastor Christopher A. Wimberly of Hunter Hill First Baptist Church in Atlanta. Music provided on Monday by the Alabama A&M University Gospel Choir; Tuesday by the Combined Fellowship Choir of New Life, Pleasant Grove, and Solomon’s Temple; and Wednesday by Johnny Sledge and Restoration.

• Concert. Lindsay Lane Baptist Church will host a concert featuring Gold City Quartet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 6. Offerings accepted.

• Pancake breakfast. New Life Church will host a 10th anniversary fellowship pancake breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, May 8 at Applebee’s in Athens. Tickets are $5 at the door or purchase in advance by contacting Nakita Marshall at (256) 321-5538 or Nina Western at 520-6976.
