County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:

• Matthew Daniel Allen, 22, of 841 Nesmith St. S.W., Hartselle, obstructing government operations

• Larry Cooley Jr., 31, of 1012 Hillwood Drive S.W., Decatur, violating terms of probation on previous conviction for driving under the influence

• Harry Ronald Thompson, 51, of 18388 Upper Fort Hampton Road, Elkmont, DUI

• Charles Timothy Vibbert, 38, of 15828 Dupree Drive, Athens, eight counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Beverly Lorraine Wise, 41, of 251 Salem Road, Minor Hill, Tenn., negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Tuesday:

• Microsoft brand Xbox game console and a trampoline, total value $700, stolen from 22000 block Howard Street between March 1-11

• Mossberg brand .30-06 rifle and Burris brand scope, total value $245, stolen Monday from 27000 block Oak Grove Road

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:

• Teresa Dawn McMeans, 39, 17321 Hubert St., Athens, harassment

• Sean Terrance Rhatigan, 28, of 17771 Happy Hollow Road, Lot 2, Athens, loitering

• Tammy Moore Russell, 37, of 9668 Holt Springer Road, Athens, two counts of possession of a controlled substance

• Eric John Vandermarkt, 26, of 112 Bates St., Athens, violating terms of probation on previous conviction for DUI

• Matthew Roy Vaughan, 20, of 18250 Upper Fort Hampton Road, Elkmont, DUI

• Dale Monte Whitehurst, 56, of 17771 Happy Hollow Road, Lot 3, Elkmont, warrant from Limestone County Sheriff’s Department

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Tuesday:

• Car tag valued at $25 stolen from 700 W. Market St., No. 200 between April 5 and Monday

• Window screen, glass window, metal screen, three candles, 30 sterling silver rings and change, total value $922, stolen during burglary at Kids Mart, 100 U.S. 72 East, between Sunday and Monday

• Windshield of Ford Windstar valued at $225 damaged due to criminal mischief at business at 507 Hoffman St. between April 12 and Monday

• Pioneer radio and CD player valued at $200 stolen from Dodge Intrepid during break-in Tuesday at Athens Park Apartments at 1711 W. Elm St.; vehicle sustained $250 damage

Hospital report

Athens-Limestone Hospital reported two admissions and one discharge Tuesday.

Admitted: Luther Beddingfield of Elkmont and Lorraine Stovall of Madison

Discharged: Shirley McClung of Athens
