County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:

• Robert Paul Carter, 54, of 22130 Sharp Road, Athens, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• William Blake Michael, 22, of 25925 Cottonbelt Road, Elkmont, accused of shoving Limestone County jailer before pat down and running from work-release center toward rear gate before recapture

• Brandon Saul Pearman, 37, of 30005 Capshaw Road, Madison, second-degree theft

• Valeria Crutcher Townsend, 36, of 1235 Audubon Lane, Athens, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Jimmy Michael Whatley, 36, of 23688 Norman Lane, Athens, harassment

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:

• Trolling motor, depth finder, rods and reels, lifejackets rain suits and miscellaneous items, total $3,265, stolen May 12 or 13 from U.S. 72 West, no block number available

• $120 stolen from cellblock vending machine at Limestone County Jail; arrested Cody Ross Moore, 22, an inmate, on charge of third-degree theft

• Four tires valued at $800 stolen from Zehner Road, no block number available, between April 9 and May 17

• Tires, old refrigerator and car parts, total $125, stolen during burglary in 26000 block Alabama 251; date unknown

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:

• Harold Francis Colby, 47, of 18976 Lydia Corey Road, Athens, probation revocation

• Marcus Elwood Gentry, 24, of 901 Garrison St., Apt. B, Madison, four counts of fraudulent use of a credit/debit card and one count of third-degree criminal trespass

• Michael Lee Powers, 44, of 606 U.S. 31, Room 115, Athens, bond revocation

• Jeffery Tyler Griffith, 40, of 19229 Elkton Road, Athens, fugitive from justice (Giles County, Tenn.)

• Travis Omar Coleman, 43, of 700 Fifth Ave., T-66, Athens, public intoxication

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:

• Ladies blue jeans, ladies black skirt and set of boys shirt and pants, total $38, stolen May 17 from 605 U.S. 72 West

• Thunderbird brand rod and reel, Zipco rod and reel, Spiderman rod and reel, Shakespeare rod and reel and Shakespeare Ugly Stick, total $180, stolen May 17 from 402 Chestnut St.

• Hyundai Sonata sustained $2,000 in damage due to criminal mischief May 17 or 18 at 401 W. Market St.
