An Athens man has been charged with third-degree burglary and breaking and entering a vehicle following complaints made last week, an official said.

Gaither Dewayne Williams, 41, of 110 N. Thomas St., Room 102, was arrested at home Monday by Athens Police Investigator Johnny Campbell and Sgt. Dustin Lansford, according to Capt. Floyd Johnson.

Both charges stem from reports filed last week by the victims, Johnson said.

“The burglary and the theft from the vehicle both occurred on East Pryor Street,” Johnson said. “Investigators recovered a projector, television, radio, coins and a pistol case.”

Williams was booked at the Police Department and transferred to the Limestone County Jail, where bail is set at $5,000.
