Cedar Hill Elementary School fourth- and fifth-grade students recently gave a Christmas concert featuring Christmas songs performed on the recorder under the direction of Cedar Hill music teacher Sara Carver.
Jerry Michael McGlocklin age 79 of Athens died Thursday at his residence. Services will be 3 pm Saturday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home, visitation Saturday from noon until service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Robert Hatchell died unexpectedly and will be long missed by many. His cremated remains will be scattered at sea. He is survived by his brother Jimmy Hatchell of Winston-Salem, NC, and sister Sara Hatchell of Mount Pleasant, SC.
