SYLACAUGA, Ala. (AP) — Four people are now charged in the slaying of a Talladega County lawyer last year.
The Daily Home of Talladega (http://bit.ly/AfDmTB ) reports that 56-year-old Earnest James Files Jr. of Alexander City and 21-year-old Charles Andrew Joseph Hendrix of Birmingham are both charged in the killing of attorney Blake Lazenby. Two Birmingham men were arrested in January in the killing.
Lazenby's body was discovered at his home in Sylacauga on July 27. Authorities say he was shot multiple times.
Files is charged with conspiracy to commit murder and criminal solicitation of murder. Hendrix is charged with capital murder during a burglary and theft for allegedly taking Lazenby's vehicle.
Authorities found the burned-out vehicle near Birmingham. A prosecutor says the investigation is continuing.
